MCC CULTIVATION WORKSHOP
The MCC Cultivation Workshop is fully compliant under SB 420: California’s Medical Marijuana Program and the Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act (MMRSA).
The MCC has successfully operated the Cultivation Workshop at 50 North Mentor Avenue in Pasadena, California, since 2010. The Workshop is set up under a City Business License for an “Information and Resource Center” for the California Medical Marijuana Program.
The Information and Resource Center provides on-going cultivation classes for patients and primary caregivers to learn to cultivate, hands-on, using the MCC Cultivation Workshop Model.
PROTECTED UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH ID CARD PROGRAM
Participants are required to obtain a Department of Public Health ID Card as a Patient or Primary Caregiver under the MMP. The ID Card ensures the protection of each Participant as a cannabis cultivator. The Participants’ DPH ID Cards make the Workshop a bulletproof source of cannabis cultivated under the MMP.
THE INSURANCE ISSUE
There is no insurance to cover damages from a fire resulting from the cultivation of cannabis in a residence. The Workshop provides a safe and insured location for cultivation.
PARTICIPANT WORKSHOP FEES
Participants pay a monthly fee to LEARN to cultivate their plants as qualified patients under the MMP. Participants who are not following the strict cultivation protocols are dismissed from the Workshop.
SOURCE OF LOW COST, TOP SHELF PRODUCT
Participants are paid reasonable compensation for their yields. Following the “Clean Green Certified” cultivation protocols for the MCC Workshop, participants produce 1 to 1 ½ pounds every 10 to 12 weeks.
A 2000 sq. ft. warehouse can accommodate up to 20 participants and produce over 25 pounds of product every 10 to 12 weeks. Because participants are paying a monthly fee to cultivate under the supervision of a Workshop Instructor/Manager, the Workshop is a source of low cost, top shelf cannabis for a dispensary operator and product manufacturer.
