MCC 121: From SB 420 to California's Medical Marijuana Program Regulation and Safety Act (MMRSA)

SINGLE DAY CLASS, ON-SITE

MCC 121 explains how SB 420 sets the stage for Licensing under the newly enacted Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act (MMRSA).

Class participants will gain an understanding of the regulatory framework, licensing options and licensing requirements under MMRSA.

Until the state agencies, with licensing authority under MMRSA, are established and accepting applications, compliance with SB 420, California’s Medical Marijuana Program Act is the only way to claim the protections granted under the Medical Marijuana Program.

The discussion of strategies for obtaining local jurisdiction approval is important because Licensing under MMRSA is contingent on documentation that the Applicant is operating in compliance with local zoning ordinances and other state and local requirements.
