Welcome to Medical Cannabis Caregivers (MCC)

The Medical Cannabis Caregivers (MCC) is a nonprofit organization established in 2006, with the support of CANORML, to provide information, education and resources that support the advancement of healthcare services provided under state approved Medical Marijuana Programs.

Since 2006, over 5,000 participants have attended Classes at the MCC in Pasadena.

In 2012, the MCC was approved by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) to teach California’s Medical Marijuana Program under the CDSS Continuing Education Program for Licensees and Administrators of Adult Residential Care Facilities.

The MCC is represented on the Advisory Board for the National Institute of Health (NIH) 5-year longitudinal Study of Cannabis Use Among Young Adults in Los Angeles County.

The MCC operates Landmark Research Collective, a medical cannabis dispensary located at 52 North Mentor Avenue in Pasadena, CA. The Collective serves as clinical teaching Collective for the MCC Practitioner Program.

MCC in Las Vegas

The groundbreaking aspects of the Nevada Medical Marijuana Program supported the decision to establish an MCC Information and Resource Center in Las Vegas in June of 2014.

The Nevada MMP permits physicians to own a Medical Marijuana Establishment (MME). The Nevada Program is the first to be “profit making” and open to MMP Registry Card holders Statewide.

The “profit making” aspect of Nevada’s MMP has attracted major investors who are funding the research and development that will advance cannabis healthcare products and services.

MCC’s work in Las Vegas includes various  production, distribution and cultivation projects with MMP Licensees; and the use of Tele-Medicine to enable non-ambulatory and homebound patients to obtain a physician’s approval for the use of cannabis.
