Class Description: This Course provides two (2) Continuing Education Units toward the 40-hour CDSS Continuing Education requirement for the Re-Certification of Health Care Facility Licensees and Administrators.
The Instructor will discuss the regulatory framework for the medicinal use of cannabis under Senate Bill 94 and the opportunity for health care facility licensees to provide medicinal cannabis products under the SB 94 Retailer License “Exemption” for Health Care Facility Licensees.
Course Objectives: By the end of the Class, participants will
- have understanding of the regulatory framework for the medicinal use of cannabis under Senate Bill 94
- learn about the SB 94 Retailer Licensing “Exemption” that is granted to licensees of health care facilities.
- learn how licensees of health care facilities may provide medicinal cannabis products in compliance with SB 94 Regulations
Teaching Methods: The teaching method is a recorded on-line Power Point presentation that is divided into two (2) Sections.
Section I provides an Overview of the SB 94 Regulations and runs approximately 45 minutes with a 10-minute Question and Answer Review of the material presented.
Section II focuses is the SB 94 Retailer Licensure Exemption for Health Care Facility Licensees and how medicinal cannabis products are provided in compliance with SB 94 Regulations. Section II runs approximately 45-minutes with a 10-minute Question and Answer Review of the material presented.
