The Physician Orientation is focused on ensuring third party liability protection and compliance with the Medical Board and federal law.
The Orientation provides all of the information, forms, legal documents, and resources that the physician requires to safely provide an approval for a patient’s medicinal use of cannabis.
The class includes a review of the various business models for those physicians who are interested in providing medical cannabis evaluations under their own name or a Fictitious Name Permit.
In developing the Physicians Orientation class, the MCC established a Physician’s Medical Cannabis Evaluation Training Office to enable participants to observe, first hand, the operational standards and procedures taught in the Class.
Participants are not required to be a licensed physician to attend. Participants may include managers for medical cannabis evaluations offices and individuals who are interested in working with physicians in providing management and/or marketing services for physicians who are specializing as Medical Cannabis Clinicians.
