Core Classes
MCC 121: California’s Medical Marijuana Program (MMP)
As Director of the MCC and MCC 121 Instructor since 2006, I cannot over emphasize the importance of understanding the scope and parameters of California’s Medical Marijuana Program before cultivating, distributing or transporting cannabis under the MMP. Providing services as a medical cannabis Collective or Cooperative Operator, or as a “Producing Member” of a Collective or Cooperative, requires an understanding of how California’s MMP is structured and how to insure the “protection” granted under Proposition 215 and SB420. The MCC is approved by the State of California Department of Social Services (CDSS) to teach California’s Medical Marijuana Program as part of the CDSS Continuing Education Program for Adult Residential Facility (ARF) Administrators.

Specialty Classes
MCC 128: California’s Medical Marijuana Program (MMP) As It Relates to Adult Residential Care Facility (ARF) Access
In 2011 the MCC was approved by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) to teach California’s Medical Marijuana Program (MMP) under the CDSS Continuing Education Program for Adult Residential Facility (ARF) Administrator Licensing and Re-certification. The Class provides a CDSS Certificate for four (4) hours of credit toward the 40-hour Continuing Education requirement for ARF Licensing and Recertification. Although the Class was developed for Residential Care Facility Licensees, MCC 128 will benefit Operators of medical cannabis Collectives and Cooperatives that may be interested in learning how the Title 22 Regulations, governing State Licensed Residential Care Facilities, supports the ARF Client’s participation in the MMP. In accommodating an ARF Client’s request to participate in the MMP, the Collective or Cooperative will play an important role because the Collective or Coop can provide a structure that supports security, non-diversion, compliance with state and local laws, product safety and insurance protection.

NOW OFFERED ON-LINE with a full Refund if, for any reason, the viewer is not satisfied with the information presented in the Orientation. Although both federal and state law upholds the Physician’s constitutional right to approve or recommend a patient’s use of cannabis, there are still potential risks, liabilities and problems that can be easily avoided with the information provided in MCC 124. The MCC Physician Orientation was developed under the leadership of Roger Barnes, MD and Roland Tringale, MD, to provide the information that a physician needs to know before making an approval or recommendation for a patient’s use of cannabis. The Orientation includes all of the Forms and Documents required in making a medicinal cannabis approval or recommendation.
